All children in the Netherlands have the right to education. The fact that they do or do not have a residence card does not matter in this context.
Dozens of children at a refugee centre had no access to education for months. Fortunately, Defence for Children, supported by PILP-NJCM and the lawyers of De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek (through Pro Bono Connect), took action to change the situation of these children. The children from this particular refugee centre finally gained access to education in the month of April 2019. For more information, see Defence for Children (Dutch).
